Rebekah Ellingson
FOUNDER
Rebekah has more than a decade of experience working in high-profile roles within multinational corporations, including the global FMCG giant Unilever, the largest movie exhibitor in the world AMC Theatres, and global food processing and commodities trading company Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). She has led successful global internal and external communications strategies for corporate activities, and has been a trusted business advisor--coaching leaders and executives at all levels of the organization. Rebekah has lived and worked in cities around the world, granting her a unique perspective when it comes to communicating with cross-cultural audiences.
Rebekah began her communications career at ADM, Fortune’s Most Admired agribusiness. From an early stage, she had the good fortune to work with senior leaders, developing and executing communications strategies to meet business objectives. At ADM, Rebekah held multiple roles, with responsibilities spanning from launching a new intranet and global magazine, to leading global communications campaigns. She also managed regional communications related to mergers and acquisitions, market expansion, and workforce reductions. At ADM, she had an opportunity to work overseas at ADM’s European headquarters, leading communications for the Europe, Africa and Asia region.
In 2012, Unilever approached Rebekah with a unique opportunity to establish and drive communications for its Americas Supply Chain organization. In this role, she supported a senior leadership team in communicating to an audience of 25,000 employees across 20 countries in North and Latin America. Notably, after one year in the role, Unilever’s Americas Supply Chain showed measurable return on investment related to communications efforts, including an 11% increase in both the Trust in Leadership and Communications dimension scores and an 8% increase in the Engagement dimension score of the Unilever global people survey.
Rebekah and the Unilever Supply Chain Communications team were recognized with an International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill Award for their work to design and deploy a factory communications tool to further strengthen employees' engagement and understanding of Unilever's Sustainable Living Plan and business objectives.
Rebekah returned to the United States in 2014 and soon found herself living in the Kansas City area, a place she is proud and happy to call home. Working at AMC Theatres, Rebekah once again found herself launching a new intranet for employee communications as well as leading a project to introduce the company’s first ever Continuous Listening engagement approach.
